I Dreamed I Met Justin Trudeau

Last night I dreamed I met Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in an almost empty Winnipeg Hudson’s Bay building. I explained a problem about needing new shoes for my feet, one real, one fake. I wanted real shoes, perhaps not as fancy as his, but leather white-collar shoes, black, brown, no matter. Not sandals, not sneakers,

Movie of the Week (feat. Jennifer Warnes)

You would think your subconscious dreaming might look like an art film, but this one clearly was running in my sleeping head as a Movie of the Week, featuring Jennifer Warnes, in her fifties, as the love interest.  Might have come into mind when I downloaded The Well, her last album from iTunes the previous

Early Morning Wine Store Blues (Dream)

A morning person, I leave the house before daylight. Two pariah dogs follow me as I hurry to get wine for Thanksgiving Dinner before the crows make shopping too difficult. I stop first at the new shop on the North side of Portage Avenue. The dogs , having delivered me safely, continue on their way.

Back to Work (Dream)

Having returned from my vacation on the West Coast the night before, I went back to work the next morning. I was confused, the building contemporary and not heritage as it was when I left it. Went up to the sixth floor and  just about everything was different, nothing was the same. Open area,

Dirty Fingers (Dream)

Last night I dreamed a movie I can’t remember. At a diner just off #1 before or after Kenora a young man in jeans and a flannel shirt,  billowing over his t-shirt taut over his flat stomach pulls out a double-barreled shotgun from his gym bag  and shoots the place up. The young gunman takes
